From Chaos to Christ: Le Pont De Dieu

Are you going to heaven when you die?

Imagine that you were guilty of a crime and owed a tremendous fine. Let’s say this debt was so astronomical that it was impossible for you to ever pay it back. Luckily for you, a merciful man enters in and offers to pay your fine in full, all you have to do is receive his free gift. In receiving this man’s gift, your debt is paid, and thus you're free from the judgment that was against you. My friend, this illustration mirrors our condition here on earth.

You see, we all owe a fine as a result of our sin. Sin is the result of breaking God’s law (1^st John 3:4). Have you ever lied, lusted after another, or stolen? God says you're guilty (See Exodus 20), His Word plainly states all have sinned, and that there is none righteous by His holy and perfect standard (Romans 3:10; Romans 3:23, Psalm 14:3). The judgment for your sin is death and the torment of eternal seperation from God (Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15; Revelation 21:8; 2^nd Thessalonians 1:9).

Luckily while we were yet sinners, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to satisfy our sin debt. Christ lived a perfect life, and was innocently executed for the sins of the world. He died in your place and offers you His free gift of eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:15-17). Recognize your condition by Admitting you’re a sinner, and Believe in your heart of hearts in the Lord Jesus Christ. All your sin debt-- past, present and future will be paid in full, and you’ll be given an eternal place in heaven. The savior of the world who can redeem you was buried and rose again; won’t you accept His free gift today? You will be raised from death to life! Heaven is a wonderful place free of pain and suffering (Revelation 21:4). God implies that the wonders and beauty of heaven are beyond our comprehension (1^st Corinthians 2:9). Make heaven your home! Jesus is our bridge to heaven. Won’t you cross that bridge and trust Him today? After all life is but a vapor.
